3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Famzzi is a platform for families. We take the privacy of children extremely seriously and comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. All accounts must be created by a parent or guardian.
- Children's profile information (name, birthdate, interests) is collected only with verifiable parental consent and used solely to personalize activity recommendations.

- We do not display targeted advertising based on children's data.
- Parents and guardians may review, update, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us at hello@famzzi.com or through the family dashboard.
- If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it immediately.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Famzzi Service
- Process activity registrations and send confirmation emails
- Match families with relevant local activities and vendors
- Send newsletters, activity recommendations, and Weekend Picks (with your consent)
- Process vendor and ambassador applications
- Send transactional emails (registration confirmations, password resets)
- Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud
- Comply with legal obligations
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Vendors: When you register for an activity, we share your registration details (name, email, and number of attendees) with the activity vendor to facilitate your participation.
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist in operating our Service (email delivery via Resend, marketing via Klaviyo, database via MongoDB Atlas, hosting via Vercel). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
- With Your Consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
