Free Mid-Autumn afternoon for the whole family.
The Mercer Island Chinese Association (MICA), in partnership with the City of Mercer Island, hosts the Mid-Autumn Festival Carnival on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center. The carnival is free and open to the public. Support comes from 4Culture and the Mercer Island Community Fund.

What you’ll do
Watch live cultural performances
MICA lists traditional dance, musical instruments, and kung fu. The event flyer also includes Peking Opera.
Join crafts, games, and the resource fair
Hands-on traditional arts such as calligraphy, lacquer fan making, Chinese knots, face painting, and stone rubbing, plus carnival games. A community resource fair highlights Chinese-language learning and family services in English and Chinese.
Eat festival food
